Engines and performance options for the 2025 Ford Escape

The Ford Escape will continue to offer the same menu of powertrain choices for 2025. The list starts with a 181-horsepower 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine with a zero-to-60-mph time of 7.7 seconds. You can move up up to a 2.0-liter turbo-four with 250 horsepower and you'll reach 60 mph in 5.7 seconds. The three-cylinder engine delivers 27 MPG in the city and 34 MPG on the highway while the four-cylinder isn't far behind at 23 MPG in the city and 31 MPG on the highway.

Both hybrid and plug-in hybrid models are available with the pure hybrid generating 192 horsepower and fuel economy of about 42 MPG in the city and 36 MPG on Marinette and Iron Mountain, MI highways. The plug-in hybrid produces 210 horsepower and around 37 miles of all-electric driving range.
