Amazing SUV best I have ever owned hands down!
By Smokeshow | on 4/30/2026 1:23:04 AM
I bought my Durango 5 years ago and have never had any issues. Great SUV. Pulled many 4 wheel drive trucks out of ditches with ease when it snowed! Love it & highly recommend!… - 4.0
I plan for it to make it to the 400k mile club
By Dana | on 10/11/2023 9:58:13 PM
I bought this top of the line 2005 Durango in 2017 with over 200k on it, but in excellent condition for $3500. Seemed like a good deal then. Now, at 321k, it is still running great and still getting 20 MPG combined, with 24 MPG or better HWY due to the Hemi fuel efficiency. No complaints here! Most new V6 engines in an SUV dont get that MPG! The 5.7 Hemi is the best engine Dodge/Chrysler ever made from my experience, and I would love to buy a Magnum with it too. I never had the ticking or knocking issues that others had. Now the CONS: The rear end pinion gear bearing blew out at 300k, and it is a known problem with the same rear end in the 1500 trucks. That cost over $1000 for a rear end rebuild. It has gone through 3 fuel pumps at $400 or so each with labor. I replaced the radiator myself for under $100, and it was easy. New water pump for $250 with labor. A new transmission shift solenoid module for $500 with labor. The PROS: I would buy this same or any vehicle with the 5.7 Hemi in a heartbeat if I could find one for under 5k. That's really hard to find now with this current used car market. I think this 2005 era was the Chrysler/Daimler/Benz era which is no longer here. The paint still looks almost new since it has been mostly garage kept and maintained. I have gotten way more than my money from this vehicle and will keep it until it dies, but I'm hoping it makes it to the 400k mile club before then.… - 4.0
Served me well for 250,000 miles
By Zerbey | on 2/1/2023 8:29:09 PM
In 250,000 miles, other than normal maintenance, I: * Replaced the radiator once * Replaced the belt tensioner once * Replaced the fuel pump once Those three times are the only times in 18 years the car ever broke down on me. Only sold it because gas prices got high and it's more costly to insure than it's worth.…
